Annual Meeting

 

Meeting called to order at 10:00 A.M. on November 9, 2024

 

Executive Board in Attendance

Michael Burrell - President

Grant Reynolds - Vice President

Debbie Tompkins - Secretary

Nikki Villa - Treasurer (Absent)

Bill Petras - At-Large (Absent)

 

Election of Officers:  Two board members, Secretary and At-Large, are up for re-election.  No applications for board membership were submitted to Sisbro and no nominations were received from the floor.  The current office holders will remain in their positions.

 

President’s Remarks:

  • The September 2024 meeting minutes were approved.
  • There will be no dues increase for 2025.
  • All service contracts will be under review for 2025.
  • Special Taxing District for Hunters Ridge Plantation (The Legacy, Landing and Park) roadway improvements.  In 2023, the cost for resurfacing Legacy roadways was estimated to be just over $665,000, equating to $4,600 per lot.  The cost has increased to $1,200,000 or $8,275 per lot.  The participating HOA representatives have been meeting with the county to discuss a path forward to develop a special taxing district.  See previous minutes for historical context.  Update:  Hunters Ridge Community meeting with county representatives is scheduled for Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. at the Myrtle Beach Christian Church, 1226 Burcale Road, Myrtle Beach, S.C.  29579.

Secretary's Remarks: 

  • One new email inquiry since the September meeting.

Committees:

 

Pool  (Legacy Pool Coordinator - Grant Reynolds)

  • The Legacy pool is closed for the season as of October 1st.

ARB  (Ashley Carson, Sharon Carrol, Shannon Garrow)

  • No report

Treasurer's Report: 

  • Three homeowners are significantly in arrears and receiving legal action.  

 Homeowners Forum - 11 homeowners in attendance

  • Homeowner reported improper landscape maintenance of the wood line on Stump Blind Trail and the pond on Squealer Lake Trail.  Board response:  The Board will notify the landscape service to perform maintenance.
  • Homeowner reported neighborhood signs need to be repaired.  Board response:  Sisbro will coordinate repairs.

 

 Meeting was adjourned at 10:17 A.M.
