President’s Remarks:
- The March 2023 meeting minutes were approved.
- The newly contracted landscaping company, Long Bay, seems to be doing well with grounds maintenance.
- Fewer than expected Plantation gate access cards have been issued. Sandra Louden has been assisting HOA Treasurer, Nikki Villa with this process. Thank you to Sandra for her willingness to facilitate this process.
Secretary's Remarks:
- There were no homeowner inquires via email that need to be addressed.
- Two homeowners provided an email address for future HOA communications. As a homeowner, if you feel inclined, submit your personal email through the Contact Us page.
Committees:
Pool
- Pool usage has increased this season. Homeowners seem pleased with the new furniture.
ARB
- Thank you to Shannon Garrow, Sharon Carroll and Ashlee Carson for their efforts to manage all ARB requests efficiently and effectively.
Treasurer's Report:
- The number of homeowners in arrears has been reduced. The Board is going through the process of sending letters to homeowners that are more than a year behind in paying dues indicating that legal action may be imminent.
Homeowners Forum - 1 homeowner in attendance.
- A homeowner requested permission to control the growth of the bushes next to the fence along the sidewalk to the Middle school. Board Response: The Board advised that inasmuch as these bushes are on his property, he is in absolute control of what happens to them. There was a discussion regarding the past growth control management undertaken by the Board and its previous landscaper. The Board is sympathetic to what may have been done in the past, but is unwilling to continue these activities because the bushes in question are not on Legacy owned property. However, the Board agreed to meet with the homeowner, view the area, and determine if there would be a mutually acceptable method of growth control for the future.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:55 PM
