Meeting called to order at 5:30 PM on September 13, 2022

 

Executive Board in Attendance

Michael Burrell - President

President’s Remarks:

  • The July 2022 meeting minutes were approved.
  • Willie Wirth retired from the position of Vice President.  Grant Reynolds was appointed to serve out his term.
  • Nikki Villa was appointed to serve as Treasurer.  
  • Based on requests for the HOA Board to take action regarding harassment with drones, our legal team has developed options for policy additions for our consideration.  Option 1:  Restrict use with a fine schedule for infractions.  Option 2:  Register drone with HOA.  Option 3:  No change...currently falls under the nuisance restrictions and associated fine schedule.  The vote was tabled until the next scheduled meeting in September.  Update:  The board voted unanimously to assess drone infractions under the nuisance restrictions with the associated fine schedule.

Secretary's Remarks: 

  • Reported homeowner inquiries via email.

 Committees:

Pool

  • Grant Reynolds, Legacy Pool Coordinator, reported our contracted pool company made a personnel change for our pool maintenance.  
  • The pool will be closed for the season on October 1, 2022

ARB

  • The Board received a team of community member volunteers to serve on the Architectural Review Board...their duties include reviewing form submissions from homeowners to ensure compliance with by-laws.  Please submit your ARB forms to our team for review through our contact us page. 

Financial

  • Most homeowners are up-to-date with dues.  We are working with others to meet their obligation.
  • The Board received a community member volunteer to serve as Treasurer...duties include monitoring finances as reported by Sisbro Properties. 

 Homeowners Forum - 6 homeowners in attendance (2 new to the neighborhood). 

  • Median post on Stump Blind Trail was damaged; a pothole surfaced in the black top on Hunters Trail; median landscape needs to be manicured. Board Response:  repairs will be coordinated.
  • Violations of by-laws regarding untagged/inoperable vehicles, unlicensed drivers on dirt bikes and golf carts, loitering in Stump Blind Trail cul de sac.  Board Response:  a letter will be sent to identified violators with associated fine schedule as defined in the by-laws.  The Board will investigate additional lighting and possible camera to inhibit loitering.  Mike Burrell will submit a request to Horry County Police to increase neighborhood patrol.

 

 Meeting was adjourned at 6:48 PM

 

The next meeting will be on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Holy Lamb Lutheran Church on Forestbrook Road at 10:00 AM.
