8 homeowners are 2 years behind in HOA dues.  Legal action will be pursued.

Homeowners Forum - 8 homeowners in attendance.

  • Issues with road repair on Squealer Lake Trail; affecting run off on homeowners property.  Board response:  HOA will evaluate the problem with homeowner.
  • Issues with dirt bikes and golf carts.  Board response:  For the purpose of enforcement by the county police, the HOA will need to amend the deed and get permission from the Sheriff to erect signs that are SCDOT approved.  The Board has asked the Board attorney to review statutory options.  There are currently no immediate plans to proceed.
  • Is there any interest in the HOA purchasing the lot offered for sale on the SCDOT website?  Board Response:  The Board is currently discussing purchasing the lot(s) for fair market value.  An appraisal needs to be completed and the deed has to be resolved.  We are also seeking back HOA dues from SCDOT because the lot(s) were apparently purchased, not condemned.  If purchased by the HOA, the property would be designated common area.
  • Complaint about fireworks.  Board Response:  County ordinance does not restrict use in unincorporated areas.
  • Complaint about wandering pets.  Board Response:  A letter can be sent to the homeowner if they are identified to the Board.
  • Can the HOA Board post the meeting schedule at the pool?  Board Response:  Yes, the yearly meeting schedule will be posted at the pool.  The yearly schedule is also available on the website.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:15 PM

Next meeting will be on May 14th, 2019 at the Holy Lamb Lutheran Church on Forestbrook Rd at 5:30 PM.
