Bill Feichel - ARB/Financial
Debbie Tompkins - Secretary

HOA Board elections:
Bill Feichel, Debbie Tompkins and Gene Ostrow are up for re-election. All re-elected by homeowners vote.
President’s Remarks:
- The May 2018 meeting minutes were approved.
- A sink hole in front of 2734 Squealer Lake Trail was excavated and piping was repaired. Subsequent to the initial repair, the site settled and was resurfaced.
- At the request of affected homeowners, two speed bumps were installed on Squealer Lake Trail.
- Storm drain cleaning is still a subject of concern. The original contractor hired to jet the storm drains and pump the catch basins failed to pump the catch basins. The jetting work remains in question. The original contractor has not yet been paid. Additional contractors have been contacted to provide bids on completing the task. Final compensation will be resolved following the completion of the work. Update: Storm drain catch basin cleaning was completed using R.H. Moore. Aggie's Landscaping removed obstructions from the storm drain piping ends along Stump Blind Trail.
- July 16, 2018, a lawsuit involving Legacy HOA was resolved with no cost to the HOA.
- Horry County issued a new Policy Directive for Homeowners Associations Rules, Covenants and Restrictions effective May 17, 2018. The Legacy HOA is in compliance with the directive.
- Annual dues will remain $400 per year for 2019. $350 will go to the general fund and $50 will go to the road fund.
Secretary's Remarks:
Reported homeowner inquiries via email.
Committees:
Pool
- Closed for the season.
- HOA is seeking a Legacy homeowner to volunteer to assume responsibilities associated with maintaining the pool.
ARB
No report.
Financial
13 Homeowners are past due. Homeowners 2 years behind in payment will/have been taken to small claims court.
Homeowners Forum - 24 homeowners in attendance. 6 proxies recorded.
- Golf carts driven by kids in neighborhood. Board response: An attorney advised that section 56 article 45 allows for enforcement of SC traffic laws on private roads. HOA has to apply to the sheriff to erect signs in compliance. We are awaiting a response.
-
Storm drain cleaning on private property, how will this be handled? Board response: HOA needs to reach an agreement with property owners.
- New homeowner requested a community facebook page. Homeowner willing to volunteer. Board response: design and content must be approved by the board prior to publishing.
- The flag at the community entrance needs to be replaced. Board response: The individual HOAs rotate purchasing a new flag. It is the Plantation's turn to purchase. Willie Wirth volunteered to replace it.
- Trespassing issues. The "No Trespassing" signs at the end of Stump Blind Trail need to be replaced. Board Response: The berm at the end of Stump Blind Trail is state property. The HOA has contacted the state to determine where Legacy property ends and the state's property begins. Any barrier would need to be placed on our property. Update: SCDOT has agreed to install Jersey Barrier sections at the end of Stump Blind Trail as a more robust measure to restrict dirt bikes.
- Homeowner requested speed bumps on Bear Stand Trail between Button Buck Road and Mallard Covey. Board Response: Board will assess the need for speed bumps. Update: Another Bear Stand Trail resident requested no speed bumps.
