- The medians are a hazard and continue to cause bottlenecks whenever work vehicles are parked in the street. It also causes issues during yard sales. Board response: There is no plan to do anything to or about the medians. The problem with traffic during yard sales is brought about by the presence of the yard sale, not the configuration of the roadway. The medians are not hazards as they are fixed objects. However, the Board agrees that the potential for a hazard develops when people park without assessing salient conditions and then walk away from the parked vehicle. A potential solution, without incurring capital expenditures from the HOA, would be for the sponsoring yard sale to encourage parking in their driveway. The same holds true for work vehicles.
- How will the road work be paid for and why are the dues increasing? Board response: The HOA dues are being increased as a reasonable methodology for the timely accrual of assets to provide the liquidity necessary to pay for future repairs. We the members/property owners of the HOA, are fortunate that the previous Board members had the financial foresight to prepare for the future. We are using the byproduct of that preparation to pay for current storm drain maintenance and road repairs. Legacy is currently funding Legacy road maintenance including Hunter's Trail. Further efforts will be undertaken by the Board to garner additional funding sources specifically for Hunter's Trail maintenance, which may eventually include the potential for legal action.
