President’s Remarks
The question of the gates that has plagued our development still hangs over us. We will try everything in our power to get it resolved. The removal of the post blocking our exit and the compensation for the use of our roads by the Plantation homeowners.
Committees
Pool
There are currently no problems at the pool or its grounds.
ARB
All is well.
Financial
We have several people who have not fulfilled their obligation to pay their dues in a timely fashion. We will be dealing with them in small claims court. It is imperative that we receive the dues as early as possible. We need to pay the bills and honor commitments.
Homeowners Forum
A homeowner asked for a clarification of the gate problem. The board intends to repair the gate broken by a Plantation homeowner and leave it open for now.
Another homeowner asked if we are a gated community. The board can find no reference, except in the communication with the plantation, that we are a gated community. There are three exits from Hunters Ridge, and only one has a gate. As far as we can determine, you have to have a gate at all entrances and exits to be called a gated community.
A homeowner asked if we can turn over our roads to the state or county. We are currently looking into the feasibility of doing this. It may be as easy as submitting a letter to the county, or we might have have to change or repair the roads. We will continue our investigation. It would be advisable to do this as soon as possible.
Our roads are in good shape but in a few years, who knows? We may, if we can get all the information in time, put a proposal to do this in the mail for our annual meeting.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:45 pm
